Podrecca
builds freehand
Behind the historical listed façade, the Viennese architect conceived a modern hotel with clear lines where the old and the new intertwine artistically.

Franz Staffler has complete confidence in Boris Podrecca. “He’s an expert for top quality materials and knows all the best craftsmen.” Podrecca was given a free hand at the Greif. He opted for contrasts – light and dark, old and new, wood and stone. All the new furniture was drawn by Podrecca, then built in the hotel’s cabinetmaker studio. Suitcases vanish into drawers, Grasello-plaster graces the walls. Everything is just so. Nothing is left to chance.
