Slumber beneath conceptual heavens, while a nymph rests on a lion skin in the gentle light.

First night in the Bronze Room: Andrea Fogli

Andrea Fogli, Hermaphrodite Chamber of Wonders
Everything is lustrous in Room 104, where Rome-based artist Andrea Fogli writes constellations on a bronze wall in pearls. The nymph’s outlines are slightly concealed. On the bedspread and in the mirror, Fogli plays with twelve outline drawings of the Hermaphrodite in the manner of Antonio Canova. Two drawings representing nymphs hang above the desk. In his Hermaphrodite Chamber of Wonders, Fogli exploits drawing, painting and embroidery to create an enchanting spatial experience. Take a rest in the lilac-coloured reading chair whenever you need it.
