Giovanni Frangi
Amantes sunt Amentes: lovers are fools. Why else would Orpheus seek his beloved in the underworld?

Giovanni Frangi
Be optimistic. Orpheus, the assiduous lover of Greek antiquity, awaits you in Room 101. The ‘Orpheus’ motif recurs frequently in the work of Milan artist Giovanni Frangi. For the Greif, Frangi chose the neon sign of the Orpheus cinema in a narrow Milan street as his motif. Frangi’s decidedly painterly work always cites landscapes and people. His style is very free, and often almost abstract.
