Ernst Nepo, Robed Figure (charcoal drawing, 1930)
In Room 206, Christian Reisigl’s art invites comparisons with an old master that hangs above the desk. The charcoal drawing ’Robed Figure’ by Ernst Nepo (1895–1971) dates from around 1925. Nepo’s early work is influenced by Expressionism and Cubism. In the mid 1920’s he turned to New Objectivity and became its leading exponent in Tyrol.
