Marianne (My) Ullmann
There’s more to life than rationality – and more than one way to see the world.

My Ullmann, Three Nudes (coloured pencils, ca. 1925)
In Room 108, the rational work of Roberto Floreani is offset by ’Three Nudes’, a drawing by Viennese artist My Ullmann (1905–1995). Ullmann studied under Franz Cizek at the Viennese School of Arts & Crafts and was a leading exponent of Viennese Kineticism, an Austrian variant of Futurism. In 1926 she moved to Switzerland, where she worked mainly as a stage designer.
