Elmar Trenkwalder

Elmar Trenkwalder arrives for the opening night in 2000

Elmar Trenkwalder and his triptych
The ink drawing ‘Rococo Sketch’ (1920) by artist Fritz von Herzmanovsky-Orlando (1877-1954) hangs above the desk in Room 106. This satirical author and illustrator was an exceptional personality. He frequently transported viewers to a fantasy realm of whimsical, erotic daydreams, and reinterpreted mythological and historical figures in absurd ways.
