Eva Schlegel

Photographic artist Eva Schlegel in Room 215
In Room 215, Eva Schlegel leaves space for the ephemeral. This Austrian photographic artist is known for her work on perceptions and is always concerned with the unfocused eye. In her early works, she projected photographs onto lead substrates. For Room 215, she mounted a photograph on a wood panel, then applied several layers of varnish until the original erotic motif receded and gained a unique glow; the image appears to flicker.
