Brigitte Mahlknecht

Brigitte Mahlknecht is a strong believer in lines. In her paintings and illustrations, the South Tyrolean artist creates cosmic spaces that narrate tales of geneses simultaneously on different levels. Her utopian cartographies are populated by exuberant forms, figures, lines, ciphers and symbols; everything is changing, everything is coming to life. In Room 305, the artist has allowed herself a small jest: the photograph of a half-peeled egg is a symbol of short-lived sculpture.
